The name "Isis" is a Greek name. The original people of that time referred to her as “Ausset or Asset”, in hieroglyphics is represented as a throne, a loaf of bread, and a young reed plant enclosed within a cartouche. These symbols carry profound meaning: the throne signifies her role as a divine queen and mother, the loaf of bread symbolizes sustenance and nourishment, and the reed plant represents growth and rebirth. The word cartouche is French, and derives from the word “carcass”, meaning dead bodies. They usually found these amulets in the tombs of the pharaohs. That’s why they called them cartouches(carcasses).
